Walkie Talkies . . .we have used them on last 10 cruises. . .Worked great in Barcelona, ship to shore in Catagenta, Spain when my wife stayed on board and I went into port.  From Ship to George Town, Grand Cayman when I went back by tender and wife stayed in town. Any where on board ship. . .state room to Lido Deck, Dinning room to Casino.  We don't cruise with out them. We sail the Conquest 02/20/11 as a family of 9 people so a WT is very important for us on board and in ports to keep in touch.

Buy a quality unit.  Motorola with sub channels so you can talk private.  At least a 30 mile range.  .that is flat land range but with the signal power it goes good..  Have a look at Newegg and their listing.
