« on: March 22, 2010, 02:26:09 PM »
Anyone stayed or considering the NOW Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa?  Now Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa is located in Puerto Morelos in the Riviera Maya, 22 miles north of Playa del Carmen and only 13 miles south of Cancun's Airport.

Hey Brother!

We stayed next door at Marina El Cid.  Ehhhh, I don't think it's you.  This is a re-branded resort & has lots of problems.  The area is just OK.  You are FAR from anything on an average beach.  Even the access from Hwy 307 takes 15 minutes to drive around a huge mangrove (aka crocodile & mosquito infested swamp).

There are many better places.  I think you'd like our new favorite:  Catalonia Riviera Maya in Puerto Aventuras.

Check out TripAdvisor.com reviews & pictures of all these resorts.  I am also "SeaBass" there & wrote reviews w/pictures of Marina El Cid & Cat Riv Maya.  And like I think I said before, we returned to Catalonia Royal Tulum, just up the beach from Club Maeva.  You'd like that, too, for a quieter adults only resort.

Bye,

SeaBass

I guess that is why they bill the resort as "NOW" trying to take on a new image.  We'll look into your suggestion for the resort you suggested.   Thanks
